I’m happily married to my best friend and we have three grown children.  We currently share our home with 4 cats, 4 dogs, and a tankful of colorful fish.  The kids are never far away.  I come from a very large family and thanks to the power of Facebook, I have been able to reconnect with most of them.

Writing is my passion.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t pay the bills (yet), so I work full time for one of the local electric companies.  I finished my BA in English in November of 2012; there is something to be said for the 15 1/2 year plan.  I love to proofread and my friends keep me supplied with enough papers to satisfy my need for literary elegance.  This led to editing as a second income. I started my Master’s Degree in November of 2017.

I published my memoir, The $35 Wife, in March of 2015.  Telling my story was not easy, but I know it will help other women find the courage to leave an abusive situation.

I have several projects in progress, including a collection of endearing and mostly humorous memories from when I worked in an Alzheimer’s Nursing Home.
